The surgery is also open on some weekday mornings between 07:15 and 08:00 and evening for Extended Hours / Improved Access. These can often be booked online.

Improved Access Service

GP surgeries from Cheltenham, Bishops Cleeve and Winchcombe, offer an Improved Access Service with additional weekday evening and weekend Primary Care appointments for patients.

Surgeries included as well as Cleevelands Medical Centre are:

  • Stoke Road Surgery, 4 Stoke Road, Bishops Cleeve, GL52 8RP

This service offers ‘Routine’ and ‘Same-day’ appointments that are pre-booked in advance.

Appointments are available until 20:00, Monday to Friday, and from 08:30 to 12:30 on Saturdays.This service gives patients greater access to primary care, particularly for those who would prefer an appointment outside of normal hours.

Appointments are available for all patients registered at the above surgeries.

GPs and Nurses will need your consent to access your medical notes if you choose to take an Improved Access appointment.

The service is for booked appointments only and is not available for drop-ins. Please note that there is not normally telephone access to surgeries after 18:30 during the week and at weekends.

Out of Hours Service

When we are closed, call 0300 421 0220 for the GP out of hours service if you need medical assistance before we open again.

You can call 111 at any time of day, not just when we are closed. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
